Privacy Notice
Your data, explained
VeriVote follows the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Here is exactly what happens to your information.
What we collect
- Full name, email, phone number, username and birthday
- A photo of your valid ID (when the election requires it)
- Optional profile photo, and sign-in records (time and IP address) for security
Why
- To confirm you are an eligible voter (identity and age)
- To let you sign in, vote once, and verify your ballot receipt
- To keep the election safe from fake accounts and misuse
Who can see it
- Only the election administrators. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
- Your ID photo is stored privately and can only be opened by signed-in administrators.
- Your vote is secret: ballots are stored without your name, so nobody — not even the administrators — can see how you voted.
How long we keep it
- Your ID photo is deleted as soon as your registration is approved or rejected.
- Your account details are kept for the election and removed when the administrators delete your account.
Your rights
- You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent.
- Contact us through our Facebook page, VeriVote.
